Couples often complain that their relationship/marriage is no longer like it used to be earlier. After few years of togetherness partners seem to loose attraction for each other. It's not that the partners don't love each other anymore, but the relationship has become mundane. And there is a need to make it interesting.

Happy marriages are not unachievable. It just needs some attention and nurturing. Partners in a happy marriage brings out the best in their relationship. Such a relationship instills both the partners with positive energy. A happy marriage needs healthy habits from both the spouses.

Here are some healthy daily habits that inculcate positive energy into your relationship.

Seal it with hugs

Reunite with your partner with a hug – it could be after a short office trip or a day's work in office. Make the hug last for at least 20 seconds, as in that period the body releases oxytocin, which is a hormone responsible for bonding behaviour.

Greet your spouse

Greet your spouse with a smile every morning. This will instill positive energy. You can also say pleasant statements like, "Good morning, I am so happy to wake up beside you everyday", it makes the marriage feel positive. The statement itself will make your partner smile and the mood  for the day is set for both of you.

Send texts

Sending playful texts to your partner is a good way to keep the romance going. Send texts like "I love you", a simple "I miss you" or "Waiting for you to come back home soon". This will bring you partner closer to you. Such text messages helps to renew your feelings for each other. But be genuine and don't overdo it.  

Compliments

Compliments are a way to tell your partner that you appreciation them for whatever they do towards the relationship. Focus on what they do rather than concentrating on what they fail to do. Most partners often feels unappreciated and taken for granted. Also compliment your spouse on their appearance whenever you go out for dinner or to catch a play.

Touch therapy

Make it a habit to touch your partner during dinner. Continue this habit. You can touch your partner's hand or arm. Even if your legs keep touching each other it will do the trick. Touching is a good habit in marriage/relationship as it helps to strengthen the bond between you and your partner.
