WhatsApp has introduced a new update for users of iOS, and this latest version is said to include a new feature that enables users to send media straight from the attachment menu in chats. This feature is currently available to only a limited group of users and seems to provide access to recent files without the need to close the chat completely. The recent files can be found beneath the usual share icons. It is anticipated that this newest WhatsApp feature will be accessible to more users in the days ahead. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is launching a revamped media attachment menu for iOS users, making it quicker and easier to share files recently accessed without exiting the chat window. This feature is believed to be part of the WhatsApp for iOS version 26.19.75, which can be downloaded from the App Store and seems to be currently offered to a small group of users.

A screenshot of the new media menu shared by the source shows a fresh recent section within the attachment menu, allowing users to quickly pick recently saved images and videos. Users can browse through the media while still seeing the chat in the background. Recent media is displayed in a 4x4 grid format on WhatsApp, located under the Document, Poll, Event, and AI Image options. Users can easily send the file or edit it in the drawing editor by tapping on its thumbnail. Scrolling through recent files expands the interface into a complete gallery view, similar to accessing the Photos category. This updated interface streamlines the process of sending images or videos on WhatsApp. It also appears to match the design elements of Apple's Liquid Glass. Currently, WhatsApp users must tap the '+' icon to access the attachment menu. When entering the photo section, it now takes up the entire screen. The messaging app may be testing this new version before it is rolled out to a larger group of iPhone users.
