This advisory follows new anti-government protests that began on Saturday after memorials honoring those who lost their lives during January's anti-government demonstrations. Reportedly, students protested at five universities in Tehran and one in Mashhad on Sunday, according to Iran's state news agency. A video confirmed by the AFP news agency from the protest at Sharif University captured a large group chanting against the government while surrounded by students holding the flag of the fallen monarchy. The United States and Iran are set to commence their next round of nuclear negotiations on Thursday in Geneva. Badr al-Busaidi, the foreign minister of Oman, confirmed the discussions. Oman has previously hosted indirect negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program and facilitated the latest meeting in Geneva last week. Conversely, the Trump administration has increased the deployment of military aircraft to the Middle East, as discussions about a potential nuclear agreement with Iran remain unstable. Flight tracking reports indicate a steady influx of aircraft transporting personnel, weapons, and supplies to the area.
