Talented writer and director Harish Shankar is also known for his controversies. The director has delivered a debacle like Mr Bachchan in his last and he is all set for the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh featuring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. Before the release of the film, Harish Shankar landed into a controversy for a reply on Twitter. It was not intentional but Harish Shankar is facing the heat from Mahesh Babu's fans. A random person has tagged Harish Shankar and posted if UBS can cross the highest of Mahesh Babu's films. Harish Shankar soon replied saying 'Thadhaastu'. His team alerted him and Harish Shankar deleted the reply. But the screenshot was posted by Superstar fans and it went viral. There are hundreds of posts on social media against Harish Shankar and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He issued an apology today morning saying that he has immense respect for Superstar Mahesh Babu garu.

"I partially read a tweet and quoted it unintentionally. My team alerted me and asked me to read the tweet and I immediately realized the mistake and deleted it. I have immense respect for Superstar Mahesh Babu garu. In fact, I have always beleived that many records will be created under his name with Varanasi. If that brief moment caused by hurt to people's feelings, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart. For a film to create records, it needs the love and support of fans from all heroes and families alike. I have enough common sense not to post such things when my film is releasing in just 10 days. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for this unintentional mistake and continue to suppport our film" posted Harish Shankar.
