The much-awaited wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been delayed due to an unexpected and upsetting family crisis. Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, experienced a heart attack while the wedding preparations were happening at the Mandhana Farm House in Samdol, Sangli, as confirmed by Smriti's business manager, Tuhin Mishra. Mr. Mandhana was quickly taken to a private hospital in Sangli, where he is receiving urgent care. Family insiders revealed that both Smriti and her close relatives hurried to the hospital upon receiving the alarming news. The family has indicated that Mr. Mandhana is currently stable and being monitored, which offers a slight comfort during this hard time. The wedding planning team has officially announced that the event scheduled for today has been canceled. It remains unclear when the wedding celebrations will pick up again.

"This morning, while he was having his breakfast, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana fell ill. We waited for some time, thinking he might just be fine. But his condition worsened. We decided not to take any chances, so we called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. Now he is being observed," stated Smriti's manager. "Smriti is very attached to her father. She has decided that until he recovers, the marriage that was meant to happen today will be postponed indefinitely. He needs to stay in the hospital, and since we are all in shock, we hope he gets better soon," he continued. The news of the wedding being postponed was communicated to the media. The marriage between Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal is currently on hold, and work is in progress to take down the decorations at the wedding venue in Samdol. The couple and their families have asked for privacy as they concentrate on the health and recovery of Srinivas Mandhana.

Smriti and Palash were set to get married on November 23 with close family and fans in attendance in Sangli, Maharashtra. Many members of the Women's World Cup-winning Indian cricket team had joined Smriti during the wedding preparations. In recent days, various videos and photos of the couple's glamorous pre-wedding events were shared on social media. However, they will now have to wait longer for their wedding to become official. From the lively Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies to friendly cricket games played by teams led by the bride and groom, an elaborate celebration was planned by the couple along with their friends and family. Unfortunately, the remaining festivities have been postponed indefinitely.
