One of the Missing Teens body Found In Lake Michigan

Authorities have informed that they have recovered the body of one of two teenage Michigan boys who had been missing while swimming in Lake Michigan.

A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson confirmed that the body of 14 years old Vincent Green was found on Thursday afternoon in rocks along the pier where the Holland area teens last were seen.

The search for the body of 17 years old Christopher Mimis was suspended in the late afternoon due to poor weather.

Mimis was a Chicago native who had recently moved to Holland, Michigan. Mimis loved to swim, but the current at Holland State Beach seemed to be too much for him and Green. His family in the south suburbs are devastated. Robin Boyce, Mimis' sister said, "It's just unbelievable that my brother is gone," . His mother Valerie Milner said, "I keep saying 'are you serious.' I just can't believe this right now,".

Mimis moved to Holland earlier in 2016 to be there for his four months old daughter Aniyah. He was planning to bring her back home for the holiday weekend to meet family for the first time.

His aunt, Maryland Burnette told "When we see him again, he will be in a box. That is very heartbreaking," said .

Ahead of the holiday weekend the U.S. Coast Guard urged caution on Lake Michigan after a high number of search and rescue cases and deaths happened throughout the month of August. The Coast Guard responded to more than 200 cases, including 11 deaths.

Boyce said, "For these kids to go out to these beaches, if you don't know how to swim, even if you do know how to swim, stay away from the deep end," .
