Blanco said that, the event will be hosted by La Union Civica Mexicana to showcase the area's tamale experts.

Blanco said that, "It's nice to see that this event is growing and that there are even vendors from restaurants outside of Saginaw. We are displaying a great tradition that originated with the great Aztec and Mayan cultures and want to educate the community on what is a good tamale. We invite the community to have a great Tamale experience."

According to Blanco, the tamale vendors participating this year are Rodriguez Tamales, Saginaw's Tino's Tamale & More, Maria's Restaurant, Manny's Tamales, Cruz Kitchen, Los Jalapenos from Mount Pleasant, La Union Civica Mexicana and The Whole Enchilada from Bay City, and a few individual tamale culinary experts in the community.

"If you're looking for good tamales for your Holiday season, this is the place to buy them," said Blanco.

The last year's event drew more than 750 people and more are expected this year, Blanco said.
