Mark Wahlberg yesterday made a surprise appearance at Michigan's only Wahlburgers in Downtown Detroit. He also surprised the city by saying more Wahlburgers will be coming to Michigan.

"I come to Michigan as often as I possibly can," Wahlberg told Galli of WXYZ. "We had a great meeting with the Meijer guys yesterday. We're about to announce new locations for the restaurants. I've made so many great friends here."

When a reporter asked Wahlberg, if that meant more Wahlburgers in the state. He said, “Yes, absolutely.” And also said that he hopes to continue to bring more films in the city

Wahlberg spent a lot of time in the state last year during the shoot of “Transformers: The Last Knight. That will release this year in June.

"There are so many talented people here. It's great to bring these jobs and opportunities here. You have so many locations and so many places. You have the city, the country... you have a great mix."
