As per an army officer, the Chinese military camp in Galwan valley which was constructed during the clash between the two countries on June 15 has been uprooted and completely dismantled.

The first sign of reduction in tensions along LAC comes after Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh have moved back 1.8 kms from the patrolling point 14 near the Galwan valley.

This decision came after a meeting at the level of corps commander where disengagement terms have been discussed by the two countries.

According the army officer, the site which has killed around 20 Indian soldiers on June 15 has been filled up with tents and camps by the Chinese armies which are now completely dismantled and destroyed by the Chinese troops itself. This comes as a good news after a long tiff between India and China.

The uprooted materials have been taken back in vehicles.

As per the observance of the senior official from India, both the troops have moved behind 1.8 kms in the PP14 area. From this point onwards, both the troops from India and China have decided they would only deploy 30 soldiers at a time and would take up their duty in shifts.

A kilometer away from this point where the second perimeter is located, the troops have agreed to place 50 soldiers each in the tents.

A kilometer away from it lies the third perimeter where the troops from India and China have decided to deploy more number of troops for now.

The official after careful re-verification has confirmed the news about tents dismantling and troops going back.

The senior official also mentioned a surprising point that 50 kms away from PP14 there are perimeters PP15 and PP17 A in Gogra where there is also a stand-off between the troops since past few days. But the official feels the whole disengagement is so petty to bring it up in public domain.

Meanwhile, there is no information on the troop movement from the Pangong Tso area where Chinese troops have infiltrated 8kms into the area.

According to sources, another high level Corps Commander talk is under consideration by India and China.
