The 10 - foot tall metallic structure which has been mysteriously appearing and disappearing from places all over the world has now found a new location - Pittsburgh, USA. However, the appearance or disappearance of this monolith is not as mysterious as it seems.

The fourth Monolith found outside a candy shop called “Grandpa Joe’s” in Pittsburgh has attracted visitors from all over the city to take a good look at the historical rock. But here’s the story of its appearance. The monolith was placed by the owner of the candy shop, Christopher Beers by covering a 10 foot tall, 24 inch wide wooden rectangle of plywood with metallic sheets. This has led the shop to attract more customers to his store and buy more candy. Talk about good marketing!

“Hopefully, it’s a reminder to support small, local businesses that have been so badly hit by COVID-19” says Beers who also owns an independent chain of ten candy stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Unfortunately, the Monolith had been stolen by unknown sources but Beers quickly replaced a new rock overnight. Customers who were visiting the area stopped by to take photographs and videos before picking up candy from the store for Christmas.

The first three Monolith’s were found in Utah, California and Romania respectively and are placed by unknown parties. Their random appearance and disappearance have caused major discussions and conspiracy theories on social media, and also, a major source for memes on the internet, making people wonder how these massive 10-foot metallic structures are even appearing or disappearing in the first place. These shiny metallic columns have been causing a spur on conversation among media and it is only imaginable as to where the next monolith will be.
