Two students from Telugu, who were studying in the UK, have tragically lost their lives in a drowning incident at a picturesque waterfall in Scotland. The individuals who passed away have been identified as Jithendranath Karuturi (26) and Chanakya Bolishetty (22). The incident occurred at the Linn of Tummel near Blair of Atholl in Perthshire on the night of Wednesday. During an outing, two men from a group of friends accidentally fell into the water and encountered difficulties. As their friends alerted the emergency services, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service promptly dispatched boat teams and vessels to aid in the rescue operation. On Wednesday, April 17, around 7 pm, we received a report regarding two individuals, aged 22 and 26, who were in the water at the Linn of Tummel waterfall near Blair Atholl, stated a spokesperson from Police Scotland. Upon the arrival of the emergency services, and subsequent searches in the vicinity, the bodies of the two men were recovered from the water. While investigations are still ongoing to ascertain the complete circumstances, the spokesperson mentioned that there seems to be no suspicious factors surrounding these deaths.

According to the Indian High Commission in London, two students from Andhra Pradesh tragically drowned in an incident and their bodies were discovered downstream. The Consulate General of India in Edinburgh has been in touch with their families, and a consular official has met with a relative in the UK. The University of Dundee has assured that they will offer any assistance needed. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for April 19, after which the necessary procedures to repatriate the bodies to India will be carried out. The University of Dundee expressed their condolences, stating that this has been a devastating accident that has deeply affected everyone. They are providing support to the families and friends during this incredibly challenging time.
