According to a study by Houlihan Lokey, a worldwide investing company, the Indian Premier League's (IPL) worth as a company has gone up by 12.9%, adding up to USD 18.5 billion. The study pointed out that the IPL's own brand value went up by 13.8% to US$3.9 billion over the last year. It also showed how the IPL is getting more well-known, noting that selling four sponsorships - My11Circle, Angel One, RuPay, and CEAT - made Rs 1,485 crores, which is 25% more than the last time. Also, the competition has continued its title sponsorship deal with the Tata Group until 2028, with a five-year deal worth USD 300 million (about Rs 2,500 crores).

Looking at the IPL teams, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the 2025 champions, were in first place with a brand value of USD 269 million, which is more than last year’s USD 227 million. Mumbai Indians were second, growing their value from USD 204 million in 2024 to USD 242 million this year. However, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fell to third place with a brand value of USD 235 million. The report also said that Punjab Kings (PBKS) had the biggest rise compared to last year, with a 39.6% jump in brand worth from 2024. As for how many people watched, the IPL 2025 final got more than 67.8 crore views on Jio Hotstar, which is more than the India-Pakistan game during the Champions Trophy 2025.

Harsh Talikoti, who is a Director of Financial and Valuation Advisory at Houlihan Lokey, said, "The IPL keeps making sports business better. The value of teams has gone way up, media rights deals have hit new highs, and brand partnerships have grown in different areas."
